Pay Special Attention while registering for CAT 09
Please pay special attention while registering online for CAT 2009 as there is an error in the registration process.
As we all know, IIMs require HSC and SSC scores as admission criteria, these scores have to punched in the online registration form. However, the CAT online registration process will not show an error if your HSC and SSC scores are not entered in the “Educational Qualifications” section of the registration form.
Because of this error, the registration process will be completed and your admit card would be generated, even though you did not enter your HSC and SSC scores. As IIMs use HSC and SSC scores during GD shortlisting, this can lead to a BIG problem at later stage. Even if you get a good percentile, it will be of no use because your HSC and SSC scores will not be present with IIMs, leading to automatic disqualification from the IIMs.
If you have not filled the CAT online form yet, please pay special attention while filling the form.
If you have filled the CAT online form and have made this mistake, Don’t PANIC. According to Prof. Deodhar, CAT 2009 Convenor, talks are on with Prometric and a solution will be announced today.
